Multi-game playing - A challenge for computational intelligence

چکیده
In this paper, we deal with the topic of multi-game playing, i.e. creating agents able to autonomously learn to play any game within some arbitrarily defined genre. We describe the motivation for research in this particular area and briefly summarize the most important undertakings. Subsequently, we present a relatively young multi-game playing platform, called the General Game Playing (GGP) and our approach to development of GGP agent followed by some experimental results.

Multi-objective Adaptation of a Parameterized GVGAI Agent Towards Several Games
This paper proposes a benchmark for multi-objective optimization based on video game playing. The challenge is to optimize an agent to perform well on several different games, where each objective score corresponds to the performance on a different game. The benchmark is inspired from the quest for general intelligence in the form of general game playing, and builds on the General Video Game AI...
متن کاملCI in General Game Playing - To Date Achievements and Perspectives
Multigame playing agents are programs capable of autonomously learning to play new, previously unknown games. In this paper, we concentrate on the General Game Playing Competition which defines a universal game description language and acts as a framework for comparison of various approaches to the problem. Although so far the most successful GGP agents have relied on classic Artificial Intelli...

One of the grand challenges of AI is to create general intelligence: an agent that can excel at many tasks, not just one. In the area of games, this has given rise to the challenge of General Game Playing (GGP). In GGP, the game (typically a turn-taking board game) is defined declaratively in terms of the logic of the game (what happens when a move is made, how the scoring system works, how the...

متن کاملArtificial Intelligence: From programs to solvers
Artificial Intelligence is a brain child of Alan Turing and his universal programmable computer. During the 60’s and 70’s, AI researchers used computers for exploring intuitions about intelligence and for writing programs displaying intelligent behavior. A significant change occurred however in the 80’s, as many AI researchers moved from the early AI paradigm of writing programs for ill-defined...
